Pedal Sensor

The PAS (Pedal Assist System) is a key component of the Swytch kits made by two parts. The pedal sensor and the magnetic disc. It comes as a default with a full kit. Please note that it is not included in the Upgrade kits as the one from the previous generation should be used.

Here's a simple breakdown of how it works:

1. Sensors: Each Swytch kit includes a disc with sensors placed strategically on the bike's cranks. These sensors detect movement as you rotate the cranks, thanks to magnetic dots on the disc.

2. Controller: The sensor data is sent to the controller, which analyzes it to determine how much assistance the motor should provide. This calculation considers both the Swytch kit settings and your preferences as a rider.

3. Motor Activation: When you start pedaling, the motor in the Swytch kit kicks in based on the chosen assistance level. It adds power to your bike's drivetrain, making pedaling easier and helping you maintain speed.

4. Variable Assistance: The assistance level can adjust based on your pedaling speed, the chosen assistance level, and the terrain. For instance, more assistance might be provided when climbing hills or starting from a stop, while less assistance is given on flat ground or at higher speeds.

5. Integration with Riding: The PAS seamlessly integrates with your pedaling, providing a smooth and intuitive riding experience.
